CUA Crew is open to all students who are interested in challenging their minds and bodies, willing to demonstrate teamwork and school spirit, and want to be a part of a fun and competitive sport.
Crew requires dedication, but the rewards are incredible. The practice schedule is intense, with early morning workouts (both on land and on the water) throughout the year. We row on the head waters of the Anacostia, and compete in regattas throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Currently the CUA Crew Team competes with Villanova, Mary Washington, American, University of Maryland, George Mason, Georgetown, and Susquehanna..
Founded in 1990, the CUA Rowing Association has emerged as a strong rowing team in a highly-competitive field. CUA Crew is not a varsity sport, as we do not receive funding from the athletic department, but is instead headed by the Office of Campus Programs, thereby maintaining club status.
